Even the cold weather last Saturday November 10th could not stop hundreds of music lovers, fans and well wishers who stormed the Worldwide Church of God auditorium in Winnipeg, Canada in the first ever ‘Taste of Africa” benefit concert as Sierra Leone’s gospel diva Vicky Fornah held the audience spellbound with a star-studded performance that would likely remain in their memory for years to come.

 Thousands of Sierra Leoneans on the 1st and 2nd of July joined their Canadian friends and families in celebrating Canada's 140th birthday.For members and well wishers of the Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba(SALNAM) it was a grand slam event at the St Vital Park in Winnipeg where Disc Jockey Ahmad Deekay 'pump-up' the dance floor with music from Sierra Leone.
